It's been three years since BLACKPINK debuted, and it's crazy to think that they have not released a full length album yet, especially with the amazing worldwide success they have achieved.
Though the material they gave us isn't much quantity wise, I dare say it's of a very good quality.
So today, we are ranking their TOP 3 songs. You are welcomed to share your favourite song, or songs, by the group down below.
*Number #3: "Hope Not" from "Kill This Love" EP
This song doesn't get half the recognition it deserves. All members deliver emotional, heartfelt performances. The rhythm is beautiful, and the instruments play to complement the girls and their voices. The sweet, heartbreaking lyrics are delivered so authentically. It seems like each member is speaking from a personal place.
I think the only complaint we can have about this song is the fact that it feels out of place. Kill This Love songs all seem to share a common sound and feel, they're POP/EDM focused, then we're hit with a heart wrenching ballad. If you were vibing to the first 3 songs; the transition towards a slower track won't make you the happiest.
But being a misplaced shouldn't undercut the fact that it's a good song.
Hope Not Card:
*Score: 7.2/10
*Label: Good
*Star of the Song: "BLACKPINK "{ All four members are equally good}
*Final Thoughts: A beautiful, lyrically strong ballad with high quality performances.

*Number #2: " Don't Know What To Do" from " Kill This Love" EP
Once again, we have a song from their latest mini album. "Don't Know What To Do" is a really well produced pop song. The beat is good, the verses are strong, and the drop works so well.
Though all members are good, I feel like Jennie ,and especially Rose shine.
I feel like the title track "Kill This Love" did ,to an extent, overshadow this one thanks to the killer music video backing it, but this one is a definite pop banger.

*Number #1: "Stay" from "SQUARE TWO" EP
I haven't fallen in love with Stay right away. I've always thought it was good, but it took a while for it to climb to the top of my favourites.
The sad intro sets the mood for what's coming, the even sadder lyrics. The girls are begging a lover they know is no good for them to "stay". The conflict between hating and loving the other person is so believable thanks to the great delivery by all members.
The vocals are great, and the rapping is extra good due to the guitar played in the background.
But what truly makes this my favourite BLACKPINK release to date is the fact that this sad, heavy song manages to bring happiness and joy to the listener. And its possible because of the uplifting sound/beat of the chorus.
Shifting from a sad slow vibe to a brighter one in the same song can be so tricky, but it's pulled off greatly here.
Once again all members are great, but I feel like Jennie is the best. Her singing was really good and her more subtle rapping was even better.
*Score: 8.1/10

*Final Thoughts: Great song, from start to finish.
