Breakdown+ Explanation of Wheein's New Video.

Wheein from girl group Mamamoo released a solo track today, and though the song itself can be praised for being a good ballad, I thought the video was better, and far more important, therefor a breakdown seems like the better choice.
The video is very simplistic, beautifully shot, and it feels like these scenes were taken from a kdrama. The song itself would work nicely as an OTS. The story ,however, is what makes this video as good as it ends up being

Note: "The video is ambiguous,so interpretations may vary, please if you have your own (interpretation) , share it down below"

The video starts with a girl walking into her house. We realize right away that she’s dealing with a heartbreak. She’s trying to be strong and happy but there are several things in her house that reminds her of her ex.
We see her smash the photo frame, then we see her happily cook trying to overcome her sadness which creeps on her the moment she places the two dishes on the table and realizes she’s all by herself.
We see her angry face once she holds the shaving kit that probably is her ex’s, then she gathers her ex boyfriend's belongings to throw them away. Through it all, she dances, she applies some lipstick and smile, and she does her best to find joy.
Now,  all this did happen, but at 4:29, we realize we’ve been fooled. Though all those actions took place, we’ve been played to believe a certain scenario took place when the real story is something completely different.
The first twist happens when we find out that the girl has actually has broken into her ex’s house, and she’s been going thorough their  stuff as well as their new lover’s.
We discover this when a couple enters the house and immediately ,the man (completely panicked) runs, either call the police or check in if the intruder is still there, while the woman stands still, making the viewer wonder: why isn’t she more scared?
Then, as the main girl, absolutely devastated, starts to leave, we get the real plot twist at  5:31 .We see a picture of the couple where the man’s face is concealed with a red color.
This video tells the story of an LGBTQ+ couple. The lead is so devastatingly heartbroken over her former lover, so she breaks into the home the latter shares with a new partner, this time a man.
She smiles whenever she sees her former girlfriend's stuff, the perfume, the lipstick.
And her fond and happy expression turns into a darker, more grim  one whenever she sees the man’s stuff, the person her lover left her for.
When the couple returns home, and discover someone has been into their place, the man is terrified, the woman, on the other hand, doesn't share any of his concerns, and we find out why when she holds that frame and look at the scratched picture . She unlike the man, knows exactly who was here, thus her subtle  reaction is justified

The 5:35 moment is what's gonna keep me up at night for days. As the main girl leaves, we see the other girl, still standing, looking at the framed picture, then at 5:35 she turns so quickly as if she heard something, and her expression  tell us that whatever she heard was bad. It's the most emotion we've seen from the second girl, so whatever it was, I bet it's very serious.

This video may seem like any other, and the story may feel kinda of recycled to many, but if you’re from a homophobic society such as the one Wheein belongs to, you’ll understand its incredible importance .
This is a good song, with an even better and crucially important video, I hope you check it out and show it love. I honestly appreciate the things Mamamoo stands for and how they aren’t afraid of voicing their opinions as much as I appreciate their music.
