Jackson Wang "DWAY": Review

Today, Jackson Wang treated fans with a new song from his much anticipated debut album as soloist.

"DWAY" is the title he chose for the track, leaving many fans confused and desperate to know what does the word actually mean. Thankfully, Jackson himself explained what the title stands for:" DWAY means "Yes" in Chinese, and also means "do it yourself" ".

And now that we got the meaning  out of the way for those who were a bit confused, lets discuss the actual song.

The first thing you notice is the difference between this single and Bullet to the Heart which was released almost a month ago.

Where the latter is sad and deals with a severe pain caused by a lover, DWAY is the complete opposite: its fun, groovy and it conveys such good vibes.

The beat is R&B like, and though its simple, its super fun and catchy. Lyrically, the words work so well with the beat and rhythm chosen; its about being successful, having fun, and living your best life; its basically the typical theme we get from most hip hop artists in the west.

I loved the simplicity of the song, Jackson is singing to a good beat, no overproduction, no over use of autone, its an enjoyable simplistic track and I loved that.

The best thing about the song is how different it is from Bullet to the Heart, and ,hopefully, that means that the album has a good balance of different songs.

"DWAY" Card:
*Score:7.1/10
*Label:Good
*Star of the Song: Jackson
*Final Thoughts:Its a good track, I liked it almost as much as the previous song, and I'm quite excited for the album.
